In the following, I would like to briefly present, in chronological order, the career arc that we have completed in the past decades and flash a few moments of how far we have come in our professional fields thanks to the grace of God and the trust of our clients.
Finally, I outline the vision of the parent company and the company group in a few words.
Eurotrade Kft. was founded in 1990
making it the oldest vehicle trading company in Hungary. The founders are Hungarian individuals who saw opportunities in the field of commercial vehicle and parts distribution after the start of the process called system change. The group of owners has not changed since the foundation.
In the beginning, we offered the products of the Czechoslovak and later the Czech commercial vehicle industry on the domestic market. The indicated period was also characterized by the fact that, with the disappearance of most of the Czech brands, we significantly expanded our product portfolio based on our ever-growing and satisfied customer base. In the segment of new vehicles, IVECO represented a greater weight every year, with which we were able to make a competitive offer to our customers in all categories of vehicles over 3.5 tons, and the number of used heavy goods vehicles also increased year by year.
November 16, 2004
was a significant date in the life of our company, because it was then that we inaugurated our company’s new headquarters, the M1 Truck Centrum, which has been providing world-class conditions to our customers and interested parties ever since.
The creation of our new center has greatly helped to implement the business model that can be simply defined as a one-stop shop. We try to provide our customers with all the products and services they may need in the course of their transport/logistics activities at a competitive price.
Accession to the EU gave us the final push to expand our business activity into the Carpathian Basin. In the spirit of this, we founded subsidiaries both in Slovakia and Romania. Over the past 15 years, we have invested significant financial and human resources in the operations of our subsidiaries. The operation of the foreign subsidiaries has so far supported the operation of the parent company with mixed results.
The crisis of 2008
significantly set back the development of the company, because in addition to the decline of the market, a significant number of our customers pulled down the curtain. The reconstruction had several important links, among which I would like to highlight the acquisition of a Polish semi-trailer brand in Hungary, the launch of the tire trade, and the launch of a financial services company.
In the second half of the last decade, we managed to put Eurotrade Kft back on a growth path, because we were able to take advantage of the increase in demand caused by the construction industry boom and the sales volume of new and used IVECO heavy goods vehicles increased significantly. In the second half of the decade, trade in construction machinery and construction machinery also started again.
From 2016
we started the development of projects for renewable energy production and the commercial activity related to them. As a result, the subsidiaries of Eurotrade Kft. are currently operating 10 MW of photovoltaic power generation capacity, and we are trying to create the conditions to be a part of the ever-expanding domestic solar market as well.
An increasing share of projects serving sustainable development is a priority goal for the owners.
We currently serve our customers at three locations (Kisigmánd – M1 Truck Centrum, Kistarcsa – M0 Truck Centrum, Szombathely) and we are present with dealers in several parts of the country. The development of the dealer network is considered a priority goal in the future.

Eurotrade Kft. is (the only) Hungarian enterprise that has been proclaiming since its foundation that the future of Hungarians, beyond the grace of God, depends on whether we can be economically dominant in the Carpathian Basin. In the spirit of this idea, we will launch the company group’s latest investment in Transylvania in the fall of 2021.
