Celebrating 20 Years of the M1 Truck Center

The Eurotrade Kft. headquarters, known as the M1 Truck Center, has been a key landmark for 20 years. Located at Exit 85 on the M1 highway, this 35,000 m² site is directly adjacent to the motorway. The building complex houses the group’s largest 14-position truck service centre, a test lane, truck wash and vehicle sales offices, the group’s central finance and accounting team, IT department, as well as some of the subsidiaries and project companies that carry out their daily activities here.

Many people know that Eurotrade Kft. itself is one of the oldest truck dealerships in the country, soon celebrating its 35th anniversary. However, this year the focus is on a smaller number: 20. This milestone marks the anniversary of the headquarters, offering an opportunity for a brief yet heartfelt celebration and a moment to reflect on achievements and lessons learned.

The creation of this widely recognized hub for heavy trucks began in 2003 with the demolition of old structures on the site. In 2004, the foundation stone was laid, followed by an impressively swift construction phase of just seven months. True joy is meant to be shared, and Eurotrade Kft. ensured this with a grand opening ceremony on November 16, 2004. The event announced to existing and potential clients that one of the country and region’s largest and most modern truck centers was operational.

The current staff celebrated with a toast of non-alcoholic champagne and slices of cake. At the gathering, owner and managing director Attila Szücs expressed his pride in the planning and construction team. With 20 years, thousands of truck sales and handovers, countless repairs, inspections, and washes behind it, the site continues to meet the demands of the 21st century.

• Commemorations of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution (in the form of a theatrical performance, art exhibition or formal ceremony)
• Religious-themed visual art exhibits
• National finals of a truck-pulling championship
• Bicycle trial shows

In this way, the M1 Truck Center has served not only as a business base but also as a community hub for 21 years and counting!
