FOR 40 YEARS TOGETHER, ON THE ROAD TO SUCCESS
Since 1978 TOGETHER, ON THE ROAD TO SUCCESS IVECO Daily has put its reliability at the service of your business. A success recognized three times with the Van of the year award.
THE STAGES OF SUCCESS
Discover the model that made the history of the Daily.
The design phase started in 1973. The challenge was transferring the structural configuration of a truck with separate chassis and rear drive, into a vehicle with reduced size. This basic concept, which had been already applied to Daily's ancestors Fiat 616 and Fiat 40 allowed successfully solving the apparent contradiction between high load capacities and appurtenance to sector of light commercial vehicles. In addition to sturdiness > and durability, this design guaranteed broad opportunities for transformations and installations, given that the body was concived as a mere container with absolutely no bearing functions. Physical separation of body and mechanics also improved sound-proofing and vibration dampening while rear drive ensured opimum ground adherence under all load conditions.
The Turbo engine was a real breakthrough at the time of its release, with a 28% improvement in power output and a 42% of torque compared to its predecessor. The engine noise was reduced, thanks to a new intake duct and technical measures to improve the driving conditions.

The second generation of Daily was shown for the first time at Jerez de la Frontera (Spain) and called 'S2000". This was a completely new vehicle, yet respectful of the original concept dating back to thirty years earlier. Lightweight versions featured single wheels and a chassis with special suspensions. The versions fitted with twin rears continued to be installed with well-tested chassis of the preavious generation. This was important since owners who are going to replace the their old vans, could immediately reuse any special fittings of theirs with no need of adaptation.

A real novelty for the Overland caravan: the modern Daily 55S18WD 4x4 by 5.5 T with double cab set up by Onnicar Commercial Vehicles of Corneliano d'Alba (Cuneo, Italy) on IVECO project. This vehicle has hosted doctors and equipment of the University of Parma who thanks to Overland have been able to register and help (even with tele-medicine) the medical relief points encountered by the expedition in the most remote areas of Africa.

The new front has been redesigned to accommodate the new grille, a new advanced cooling system, the new front lights that integrate the daytime running lights (DRL) and the fog lights.
A NEW PROPULSORAn absolute novelty is the 3-liter Euro 5 FPT Industrial engine, the most powerful 4-cylinder diesel in the category, which delivers a nominal output of 205 hp with a maximum torque of 470 Nm. Thanks to the adoption of two turbochargers, one compact and with low inertia to guarantee a prompt response from the lowest regimes, and a larger one to provide maximum performance, higher torque and power are obtained, with lower emissions and consumption.
